Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") set forth the conditions for providing the Pawlog service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") and the rights and obligations established for operating the Service. All users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") must agree to and abide by these Terms when using the Service.
Article 1 (Application)
1. These Terms shall apply to all relations between the User and the operator of the Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator") concerning the use of the Service.
2. In addition to these Terms, the Operator may establish rules for use and various other provisions (hereinafter referred to as "Individual Regulations"). These Individual Regulations, regardless of their name, shall constitute an integral part of these Terms.
Article 2 (Registration)
1. Registration for the Service shall be completed upon the applicant agreeing to these Terms, applying for registration in the manner prescribed by the Operator, and the Operator granting approval.
2. The Operator may refuse to approve a registration application if it judges that any of the following reasons apply, and shall not be obliged to disclose the reasons:
- If false information is provided during the registration application.
- If the application is from a person who has previously breached these Terms.
- If the Operator otherwise deems the registration inappropriate.
Article 3 (Account Management)
1. The User shall appropriately manage the account information (including email addresses and authentication credentials) at their own responsibility.
2. The User may not, under any circumstances, transfer or lend account information to a third party, or share it with a third party. When a login occurs with matching credentials, the Operator will consider the account as being used by the registered User.
Article 4 (Information Sharing and Management)
1. The Service provides a feature for sharing pet records among specific Users, such as family and partners.
2. Users shall invite other Users and share information at their own responsibility.
3. The User who is the pet owner may remove invited members at any time. Furthermore, members may voluntarily leave the shared group at any time.
4. The Operator bears no responsibility for any trouble between Users or any damages arising from the sharing of information.
Article 5 (Paid Services and Subscriptions)
1. The Service offers paid functionalities, such as an auto-renewable subscription to remove in-app advertisements (1-month period, hereinafter referred to as the "Plus Plan").
2. When purchasing the Plus Plan, payment will be charged to the User's Apple ID account (App Store) at the confirmation of purchase.
3. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
4. The account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
5. Subscriptions may be managed by the User and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the User's Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
6. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the User purchases a subscription to that plan.
Article 6 (Prohibited Acts)
In using the Service, the User must not engage in the following acts:
- Acts that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals.
- Acts related to criminal activity.
- Acts that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights contained within the Service.
- Acts that destroy or interfere with the server or network functionality of the Operator, other Users, or third parties.
- Commercial use of information obtained through the Service.
- Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Operator's services.
- Unauthorized access or attempts to do so.
- Collecting or accumulating personal information about other Users.
- Impersonating other Users.
- Acts directly or indirectly providing benefits to anti-social forces in connection with the Service.
- Any other acts the Operator deems inappropriate.
Article 7 (Suspension of Service Provision)
1. The Operator may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice to the User if any of the following apply:
- When performing maintenance or updates on computer systems related to the Service.
- When the provision of the Service becomes difficult due to force majeure, such as earthquakes, lightning strikes, fire, power outages, or natural disasters.
- When computers or communication lines are stopped due to accidents.
- When the Operator otherwise deems the provision of the Service difficult.
2. The Operator shall not be responsible for any disadvantage or damage incurred by the User or any third party due to the suspension or interruption of the Service.
Article 8 (Usage Restrictions and Registration Cancellation)
1. The Operator may restrict all or part of the use of the Service or cancel the registration of a User without prior notice if the User falls under any of the following cases:
- When violating any clause of these Terms.
- When it is found out that there are false facts in the registered items.
- When the Operator otherwise deems the use of the Service inappropriate.
2. The Operator clearly denies any responsibility for damages arising from any action the Operator takes based on this article.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
1. The Operator does not expressly or implicitly guarantee that the Service is completely free of defects (including but not limited to defects regarding safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, security, errors or bugs, and infringement of rights).
2. The Operator shall not be responsible for any damage to the User arising from the Service.
Article 10 (Changes to the Service Content)
The Operator may change the content of the Service or discontinue its provision without notifying the User, and shall not be responsible for any damages incurred by the User as a result.
Article 11 (Changes to the Terms of Service)
The Operator may change these Terms at any time without notifying the User if the Operator determines it necessary. If the User starts using the Service after a modification, it shall be deemed that the User has agreed to the changed Terms.
