Privacy Policy

Pawlog (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") regarding the handling of Users' personal and usage information.

Article 1 (Collected Information)

The Service acquires the following information from the User:

  • Profile Information: Display name (nickname), email address (if optionally registered).
  • Authentication Information: Authentication and identification information via Firebase Authentication.
  • Pet Information: Pet's name, gender, birthday, adoption date, departure date, and other registered information.
  • Record Data: Activity logs such as food, walks, toilet, medication, memos, and input user information.
  • Device and Network Information: FCM tokens (device tokens) for sending Push notifications, OS versions, and terminal models.

Article 2 (Purpose of Information Use)

The information collected by the Service is used for the following purposes:

  • To directly provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To provide the pet sharing feature (data synchronization and sharing among members invited by the owner).
  • To send notifications (such as Push notifications) when new records are added by other members.
  • To appropriately respond to inquiries from Users.
  • To analyze data for feature enhancement and new service development.
  • To prevent and respond to acts violating the Terms of Service or unauthorized use.

Article 3 (Information Sharing with Other Users)

The core purpose of the Service is to "share pet records with others." If a User generates an invitation link and another User accepts it, the associated pet's profile and record information (including who recorded what) become mutually viewable between participating members. The User's display name is also publicly viewable within the shared group.

Article 4 (Use of External Services and Payment Information)

The Service uses Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions, etc.) provided by Google LLC for infrastructure and functionality. Information on these services is handled in accordance with Google's privacy policies.

Additionally, purchasing paid services (e.g., auto-renewable subscriptions) within the Service involves secure payment processing by Apple Inc. (App Store). The Operator does not directly collect, store, or manage Users' payment information such as credit card details.

Article 5 (Providing Personal Information to Third Parties)

We do not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the User, except when permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations. However, the exceptions are:

  • When it is necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent.
  • When it is specifically necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and obtaining consent is difficult.
  • When it is necessary to cooperate with national agencies, local governments, or bodies delegated by them to carry out affairs provided by laws and regulations, and obtaining consent is likely to impede the execution of the relevant affairs.

Article 6 (Security Management of Personal Information)

The Service implements necessary measures and strictly manages personal information by thoroughly maintaining security systems to keep Users' personal information accurate and up-to-date and prevent unauthorized access, loss, damage, tampering, and leakage.

Article 7 (Rights of the User)

Users can view, modify, or delete their profile information and pet records directly on the Service. Furthermore, Users can cease future data sharing by leaving an existing group. However, complete deletion of data already synced to other Users' devices may not be entirely guaranteed due to the nature of the application.

Article 8 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

1. The content of this Policy may be reasonably altered without notifying the User, aside from matters otherwise specified in laws and regulations or this Policy.
2. Unless explicitly specified otherwise, the modified Privacy Policy takes effect immediately upon being posted on this website.
